Kebbi police arrest suspected ritualists, armed robbers

The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Police Command has eliminated an armed robbery suspect who was attempting to escape after invading Southern Bridge Estate, Jabi, with a gang of ten robbers.

Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency expert focused on the Lake Chad region, disclosed this on Wednesday in a post on his X handle.

Makama stated that the incident occurred on March 10, 2025, at about 9:30 pm.

According to the report, the robbers allegedly scaled the estate’s fence and stole several electrical appliances, though the exact value of the stolen items is yet to be determined.

While attempting to flee, the security personnel opened fire, hitting one of the suspects, who was immediately apprehended and taken to Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, where he was confirmed dead by the medical team on duty.

“The sources said that the body has been deposited at the hospital mortuary, while the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) has taken over the case for further investigation,” Makama said.
