- Usage Data: Task activity, engagement history, wallet transactions, virtual account funding, bill payments, and app interactions.
- Transaction & Reward Data: Reward redemptions, withdrawal requests, virtual account details issued by Fincra, and bill payment records.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected to:
- Create and manage user accounts securely.
- Authenticate users and prevent unauthorized access.
- Facilitate reward redemptions, bill payments, and withdrawals through third-party payment infrastructure providers including Fincra.
- Facilitate access to virtual account utilities issued and managed by third-party providers in line with regulatory requirements.
- Process bill payments (airtime, data, betting funding, utilities).
- Deliver services including tasks, promotions, and giveaways.
- Comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or misuse.
3. Rewards & Payment Utility Services
Payment Infrastructure Partner: GOB uses Fincra (a licensed financial institution) strictly as a payment infrastructure provider to support reward withdrawals, bill payments, and virtual account utilities.
- Virtual account numbers issued to users
- Bank transfer processing for withdrawals
- Wallet funding services
- Bill payment processing
Withdrawal Process:
- Withdrawal requests are processed based on verification and processing timelines
- All withdrawals are via bank transfer through Fincra
- 24-hour processing fees apply as per Fincra's terms
- Minimum reward redemption thresholds:
- For funds received via virtual account: ₦100 minimum
- For points earned from tasks: 1,000,000 points (equivalent to ₦8,000) minimum
Virtual Account Numbers:
- Issued by Fincra in compliance with CBN regulations
- Requires complete KYC verification
- Funds received through virtual accounts are processed and managed by Fincra
- Users have access to funds anytime (subject to processing times)
- Fees apply for receiving funds via Fincra virtual accounts
4. KYC Compliance
To comply with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations and Fincra requirements:
- Users must complete KYC verification to access reward withdrawals and payment utilities
- Required documents may include: Valid ID, Proof of Address, BVN
- KYC data is shared with Fincra for regulatory compliance
- Incomplete KYC will limit access to withdrawal and funding features

Any user found engaging in these actions may face:
- Immediate account suspension or permanent ban.
- Freezing or reversal of fraudulent transactions.
- Reporting to Fincra and relevant authorities.
- Legal action where necessary.
GOB reserves the right to review and investigate any suspicious activity to protect the platform and its users.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, update, or correct your personal information.
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal and regulatory obligations).
- Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing.
- File complaints with NDPR or relevant data authorities.
- Request transaction history and account statements.
- Delete Your Account: You can delete your account directly in the app settings or by contacting our support team. Please note that complete deletion may take up to 15 days to process all data removal requests, and certain financial records may be retained as required by banking regulations.
9. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to:
- Provide our services.
- Meet regulatory and compliance requirements (CBN regulations require 5+ years retention for financial records).
- Resolve disputes or enforce our Terms.
- Comply with Fincra's banking requirements.
10. Data Security
We apply industry-standard security measures, including:
- Bank-level encryption for sensitive operations.
- OTP and secure 6-digit transaction PIN verification.
- Strict access controls for authorized personnel only.
- Regular security audits in compliance with financial regulations.
- Secure data transmission to Fincra's banking infrastructure.
Users are strongly advised to keep passwords, PINs, and OTPs confidential.
11. Children's Privacy
GOB is not intended for individuals under 18. Financial services require users to be 18+. If we discover that a minor's data was collected, it will be deleted immediately.
12. Third-Party Links
Our platform may contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
13. Fees and Charges
Users acknowledge and agree to:
- Withdrawal processing fees as charged by Fincra
- Virtual account funding fees
- Bill payment service charges

15. Permissions and Why We Use Them
GOB requests the following permissions to provide a secure, functional, and personalized experience. You can choose to grant or deny these permissions, but some features may not work without them.
- Camera (android.permission.CAMERA): Used for uploading identity documents for KYC verification, scanning QR codes, and profile picture uploads.
- Storage / Media Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used for selecting and uploading images or videos for profile verification, task submissions, and sharing rewards.
- Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Used to provide location-based tasks, rewards, and services, and to comply with regulatory requirements for location verification.
- Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): Used for inviting friends to the platform, referral programs, and selecting contacts to share rewards.
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used for recording videos for tasks that require voice or video submissions.
- Internet and Network State (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required for app functionality, connecting to servers, loading tasks, sending/receiving notifications, and performing transactions.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send updates about tasks, rewards, promotions, and app notifications.
- Biometric Authentication (USE_BIOMETRIC, USE_FINGERPRINT): Used to secure login and transactions using fingerprint or face recognition.
We only use these permissions for the purposes described above and do not access any data beyond what is necessary to provide the features of the GOB app. All data collected via these permissions is handled securely and in compliance with our Privacy Policy.
