Aisha Achimugu not arrested by EFCC – Aide

Aisha Achimugu, a renowned businesswoman and socialite, has not been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

This was disclosed in a statement by her personal media aide, David Abakpa on Thursday after DAILY POST sort confirmation from him.

Reacting to the viral claim published by two blogs and seen by DAILY POST, Abakpa dismissed the report as fake news.

He insisted that his principal was not in Nigeria at the time the alleged arrest was said to have occurred.

“It is a lie sponsored by enemies! Aisha Achimugu was never arrested or detained by the EFCC. Anyone can confirm from the Commission,” he said.

He further described the claims as a deliberate attempt by unscrupulous elements to tarnish Achimugu’s reputation.

He stressed that she is known for her legitimate businesses and contribution to Nigeria’s economy.

“Aisha Achimugu, in the first place, is not in the country. She left on a business trip last week,” he added.

Reiterating her law-abiding nature, the aide emphasized that Achimugu has built a respectable career through hard work and remains committed to job creation for Nigerian youths.

“Mrs. Achimugu is a law-abiding Nigerian who is highly respected internationally for her legitimate dealings. She is well known for creating jobs for Nigerian youths, thereby impacting the economy with her businesses,” Abakpa stated.

He urged the public to disregard the false claims, warning against the spread of unverified information aimed at damaging reputations.
