Namadi tasks govt officials on mentorship, synergy for Jigawa’s development

Jigawa State Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi has underscored the need for mentorship and collaboration among state executives, political appointees, and top government officials to drive meaningful development in the state.

Speaking at a two-day retreat for commissioners, special advisers, technical advisers, permanent secretaries, and directors, Namadi stressed that teamwork is essential for achieving Jigawa State’s 12-Point Agenda.

A statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant on Media Affairs, Hajiya Zainab Ringim, and made available to journalists, highlighted the governor’s firm stance on synergy within the administration.

Namadi warned that any commissioner unwilling to cooperate with special advisers and technical assistants should resign.

The governor also called on permanent secretaries to mentor their directors and assistant directors, fostering a culture of leadership and support within the state’s bureaucracy.

During the retreat, Professor Murtala Sabo Sagagi, a Director at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, delivered a paper titled ‘Aligning Leadership with Jigawa’s 12-Point Agenda’.

He echoed the governor’s call for teamwork, emphasizing that collective efforts are vital to realizing the administration’s developmental goals.

The retreat served as a platform to reinforce the administration’s commitment to good governance, accountability, and the effective implementation of policies aimed at making Jigawa State great.
