Nollywood stars scared of being poisoned on set – Actress Ruth Eze spills

Popular Nigerian actress Ruth Eze has unveiled a prevailing unease that envelops Nollywood actors on set, that leads them to abstain from consuming their colleagues’ food.

According to her, many movie stars opt to procure or bring their own meals during film shoots, driven by a palpable fear of potential poisoning by someone in the industry.

Eze dropped this startling revelation in a recent interview with The Punch, highlighting that a substantial number of individuals in Nollywood harbor a distinct lack of camaraderie within the industry.

She said; “A lot of people don’t like to see others, especially in Nollywood in the eastern part of the country. We don’t like one another. I cannot expose my relationship, or who I am in love with.

“There is no actor in Nollywood, especially in Asaba (Delta State), that one would buy food for on set and they would eat. Everybody is scared, because of how dangerous that side is. When one goes for any production, one is usually scared. So, in order to be careful, one has to buy one’s food.”

In other news, Bolanle Ninalowo, the Nollywood actor, has fueled dating rumours after he shared a video of himself with actress Damilola Adegbite.

On Saturday, the movie star took to his Instagram page to share a video of himself in the gym with Adegbite.

The pair were spotted working out together at the gym.

The caption of the now-viral video reads: “#LovePeaceAndLightOnly @adedamee”.

The loved-up footage was shared a month after the actor announced that he had found love again.

  1. I don’t understand why she said so. She may suspect since she was a popular and successful celebrity. That is why celebrities are afraid of being poisoned food in the Nollywood industry. They cook or buy for their own food. They are afraid because griefed people do not want to see them

  2. If you are scared then don’t do because every human being get heart warning whenever your enemies have plans evil against you

    1. In a place where they is competition things like this are likely to occur hatred jeosy , even to the extent of taking ones life.

  5. I have been suspecting this thing in the nollwood family, because of the kind of stories we are hearing from there.now tell me,why will actress Ruth be afraid of been poison if everything is fine in nollywood?

  6. Is not surprising, since there’s stiff competition among them to be popular than the next person. Not just food poisoning, but backstabbing is common.

  7. This calls for urgent response. The AGN need to act fast to curb this menace from the Nollywood industry.
The rate of POISONING going on in the industry is alarming. Today Ruth is bold enough to talk about it.

Who knows what she couldn’t say publicly and what others are passing through.

No wonder the recent rate of DEATH recorded in the industry.
