Authentication Details
Login credentials, one-time passwords (OTPs), and your secure 6-digit transaction PIN.
Device & Technical Data
IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
Usage Data
Task activity, engagement history, wallet transactions, virtual account funding, bill payments, and all app interactions.
Transaction & Reward Data
Reward redemptions, withdrawal requests, virtual account details issued by Fincra, and bill payment records via Ebills.africa.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the GOB platform:
- → Create and manage user accounts securely.
- → Authenticate users and prevent unauthorized access.
- → Facilitate reward redemptions, bill payments, and withdrawals through Fincra (payment infrastructure) and Ebills.africa (bill processing).
- → Facilitate access to virtual account utilities issued and managed by Fincra in line with CBN regulatory requirements.
- → Process all bill payments — airtime, data, electricity tokens, cable TV, and betting wallet funding via Ebills.africa.
- → Issue and manage virtual dollar cards in partnership with Miden (card infrastructure provider).
- → Deliver services including tasks, promotions, and giveaways.
- → Comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations as required by the CBN.
- → Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or platform misuse.

- →Processing fees apply as per Fincra's current rate schedule, shown transparently before confirmation.

Virtual Account Numbers (NGN)

- →Funds received are processed and managed by Fincra. Users have access to funds at any time, subject to processing times.
- →Fees apply for receiving funds via Fincra virtual accounts.
Virtual Dollar Card (USD)
- →Virtual USD cards are issued via Miden, a YC-backed card infrastructure provider.
- →Cards are funded from your GOB NGN wallet via real-time Fincra FX conversion.
- →Users cannot withdraw USD directly. To cash out, USD is converted back to NGN and withdrawn via existing bank transfer.
- →Card data is processed and secured by Miden's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
Important Disclaimer
GOB is a reward platform that offers financial utility services through our partnerships with Fincra, Miden, and Ebills.africa. GOB does not provide banking, lending, savings, or investment services. All payment-related features are limited to reward redemption and bill payment utilities facilitated by third-party providers. Reward amounts vary by task and are not guaranteed.
KYC Compliance
To comply with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) regulations and Fincra requirements, GOB operates a Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process:
- →Users must complete KYC verification to access reward withdrawals and payment utilities.
- →Required documents may include: Valid government-issued ID (NIN, Voter's Card, Driver's Licence, Passport), and Bank Verification Number (BVN).
- →KYC data is shared with Fincra for regulatory compliance purposes only.
- →Incomplete KYC will limit access to withdrawal and wallet funding features.
- →Virtual dollar card issuance via Miden also requires completed KYC verification.
Your KYC data is handled with the highest level of security. It is only shared with Fincra or Miden as required by CBN regulations and is never used for marketing purposes.

Fraud Prevention & Account Misuse

Your Rights

Access, update, or correct your personal information at any time through your account settings.
Request Deletion
Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal and regulatory obligations that may require retention of certain records.
Withdraw Consent
Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing at any time without affecting lawfulness of prior processing.
File Complaints
File complaints with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) at ndpc.gov.ng or via info@ndpc.gov.ng.
Transaction History
Request a full history of your transactions, task completions, and account statements at any time.
Delete Your Account
Delete via app settings or by contacting support. Full data removal takes up to 15 days, subject to mandatory financial record retention.

Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to:
- →Provide you with our services as an active GOB user.
- →Meet CBN regulatory requirements — financial records must be retained for a minimum of 5 years.
- →Resolve disputes, investigate fraud, or enforce our Terms of Service.
- →Comply with Fincra and Miden data and banking infrastructure requirements.
When you delete your account, GOB removes your non-financial personal data within 15 days. Financial transaction records required by regulation are retained for the legally mandated period, then securely deleted.

Platform data hosted on AWS with encrypted storage, isolated financial data schemas, and access logging.
Real-Time Fraud Monitoring
Automated systems detect and flag suspicious account or transaction activity instantly.
Users are strongly advised to keep passwords, PINs, and OTPs strictly confidential. GOB will never ask for your PIN or OTP via call, SMS, or email.
Children's Privacy
GOB is strictly for users aged 18 and above.
GOB is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. As a platform offering financial utility services, all users must be adults in accordance with CBN regulations. If we discover that a minor's data has been collected, we will delete it immediately and close the associated account. Parents or guardians who believe their child has registered on GOB should contact us immediately at info@gob.ng.
Third-Party Links
The GOB platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or platforms (such as social media platforms used for task completion). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or data handling of any third-party services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external services you access through GOB before sharing your personal information with them. This includes but is not limited to: Fincra, Miden, Ebills.africa, Sportybet, DSTV, and any other third-party integrations accessed via GOB.
Fees & Charges
By using GOB, users acknowledge and agree to the following fee structure:
- →Withdrawal processing fees as charged by Fincra per the applicable rate at the time of withdrawal.
- →Virtual account funding fees as applicable under Fincra's current fee schedule.
- →Dollar card issuance and funding fees as per Miden's card infrastructure pricing.
- →FX conversion spread applied when converting NGN to USD for virtual card funding.
- →Bill payment service charges for airtime, data, utility, and betting platform transactions via Ebills.africa.
- →Any other fees disclosed in-app or in our Terms of Service at the time of transaction.
All fees are shown transparently before you confirm any transaction within the app.
App Permissions & Why We Use Them
GOB requests the following Android & iOS permissions to provide a secure, functional, and personalised experience. You can choose to grant or deny these permissions, but some features may not work without them.
