GOB Digital Services Ltd (RC-9344756) operates GOB Business, a free online store, plus reward tasks and payment utilities. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share your data. By using GOB, you agree to these practices.
Information We Collect
We collect the following data when you open or shop at a GOB Business store, or use our reward and payment features (see Section 2 for store-specific detail):
Store & Order Data
Store name, products, prices, images, and - for orders - buyer name, phone, address, and items purchased.
Personal Information
Name, phone, email, bank details, BVN, ID, and address - required by Fincra for KYC.
Authentication Details
Login credentials, one-time passwords (OTPs), and your transaction PIN.
Device & Technical Data
IP address, device type, browser, OS, and device identifiers.
Usage & Transaction Data
Store analytics, task activity, wallet transactions, and app interactions.
Free Store & Merchant Data
GOB Business is a free online store any verified user can open. Creating or using a store adds the following data.
Data Collected for Store Merchants
- →Store settings: Name, logo, category, description, images, contact details, and social links.
- →Products: Names, descriptions, prices, images, and inventory.
- →Store analytics & SEO: Visit counts (deduplicated by IP, auto-deleted after 30 days) and your custom SEO titles/descriptions.
- →Orders & earnings: Order records, payment method, commission, coupons, and payouts.
- →Staff accounts: Name, phone, role, and activity log for team members you add.
Data Collected for Store Customers
- →Order information: Name, phone, delivery address, and items ordered.
- →Cart data: Stored temporarily; abandoned carts auto-delete after 7 days.
- →Payment: Wallet/Points payments collect no card data; bank/card payments are processed by Fincra; Pay-on-Delivery collects no payment data.
- →Shipping (optional): If a merchant connects their own Shipbubble account, address and package details may be shared with them for delivery. GOB does not ship goods itself.
- →Guest checkout orders are shared with the merchant only, and not linked to an account unless you're logged in.
Merchant Responsibility
Order details are shared with you for fulfilment only. As a store owner, you're responsible for handling customer data per the NDPA - don't use it for marketing without consent.
GOB Is Not a Marketplace
GOB doesn't own, stock, or resell products. Every listing belongs to the business that created it - we just provide the free store, payments, and tools.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve GOB:
- → Power store operations - orders, payouts, analytics, and SEO tools.
- → Create and manage accounts securely.
- → Authenticate users and prevent unauthorized access.
- → Process reward withdrawals and bill payments via Fincra.
- → Provide virtual accounts issued by Fincra under CBN rules.
- → Process airtime, data, electricity, cable TV, and betting payments.
- → Deliver tasks, promotions, and giveaways.
- → Comply with KYC/AML regulations.
- → Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or misuse.
Store & Platform Fees
GOB Business stores are free to open. GOB only earns via a small per-order commission when a merchant makes a sale:

Pay on Delivery (POD) orders carry 0% commission. Extra store slots beyond a merchant's free store cost ₦10,000 each, deducted from their GOB wallet.

All fees are shown transparently before you confirm any transaction within the app.

KYC Compliance
To comply with CBN regulations and Fincra requirements, GOB verifies user identity (KYC):
- →Required for reward withdrawals and payment utilities.
- →May require a valid ID (NIN, Voter's Card, Driver's Licence, Passport) and BVN.
- →Shared with Fincra for compliance only.
- →Incomplete KYC limits withdrawals, funding, and store creation.
Your KYC data is handled securely, shared only with Fincra as required, and never used for marketing.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies on the GOB web platform to:

- →The mobile app doesn't use cookies; analytics SDKs don't share financial data with advertisers.

How We Share Your Data
We do not sell your personal data - ever.
Your KYC data (name and BVN) is shared only with Fincra, to create your NGN account number - the standard process for opening an account in Nigeria - and with government or regulators when legally required. We do not share KYC data with any other third party:

Fraud Prevention & Account Misuse
For everyone's safety, GOB strictly prohibits:

- ✕Reporting to Fincra and Nigerian regulators.
- ✕Legal action where necessary.
We investigate suspicious activity to protect the platform and its users.
Your Rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA), you have the right to:

Update or correct your information anytime via account settings.
Request Deletion
Request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements.
Withdraw Consent
Withdraw consent for non-essential processing anytime.
File Complaints
File with the NDPC at ndpc.gov.ng.
Transaction History
Request your full transaction and account history.
Delete Your Account
Delete via app settings or support. Takes up to 15 days, subject to financial record retention.

Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as necessary to:

On account deletion, non-financial data is removed within 15 days. Financial records are retained as legally required, then securely deleted.

Third-Party Links
GOB may link to third-party sites or services (e.g. for task completion). We aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices - review their policies before sharing your data. This includes Fincra, Sportybet, DSTV, and other integrations accessed via GOB.
