1.1 GOB Business is available to registered GOB users who have successfully completed identity verification (KYC) as required by GOB's onboarding process.

1.2 Each verified GOB account is entitled to one (1) free store slot. Additional store slots may be purchased at the published rate (currently ₦10,000 per slot), subject to change with notice.

1.3 You must be at least 18 years old to open a GOB Business store. Minors with parental consent and verified guardian oversight may apply to GOB support for an exception.

2.1 The store name (slug) you choose is permanent and cannot be changed after creation. Choose carefully. Slugs must be lowercase, contain only letters, numbers and hyphens, and must not impersonate another brand or person.

2.2 The following slugs are reserved and unavailable: api, app, admin, dashboard, terms, privacy, partner, login, register, about, contact, and any slug GOB determines may cause confusion.

2.3 Your store display name, logo, hero image and product listings must not infringe any third-party trademark, copyright or intellectual property rights. GOB reserves the right to suspend stores found to be infringing.

3.1 You may sell any lawful physical or digital product or service on your GOB store, including but not limited to: food and meals, fashion and clothing, beauty products, electronics, ebooks and digital courses, freelance services, handmade crafts, and general merchandise.

3.2 The following are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate store suspension without refund:

• Alcohol, tobacco, controlled substances or drug paraphernalia
• Firearms, ammunition, weapons or explosive devices
• Counterfeit, pirated or stolen goods
• Adult content, pornography or sexually explicit material
• Financial instruments (loans, investments, forex, crypto) without a valid CBN or SEC licence
• Prescription drugs, unregistered health products or fake NAFDAC-certified goods
• Human trafficking, slavery or exploitation services
• Hacking tools, malware, spyware or any illegal software
• Products that violate any applicable Nigerian law or regulation
• Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, Ponzi schemes or fraudulent investment schemes

4.1 Opening and maintaining a GOB Business store is free. There are no monthly fees, listing fees or setup costs.

4.2 GOB charges a commission on each completed sale. Commission rates (as of the date of this document) are: GOB Wallet & Wallet+Points: 1.5%, Bank Transfer: 0.5%, Card / Fincra: 2.5%, Pay on Delivery: 0%. These rates are deducted before settlement to your wallet.

4.3 GOB may revise commission rates with at least 30 days' prior notice posted on this page and in the app. Continued use of your store after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the new rates.

4.4 Theme purchases (Luxe Pro, ₦5,000) are one-time, non-refundable purchases deducted from your GOB wallet. Themes remain accessible as long as your GOB account is in good standing.

5.1 You are solely responsible for fulfilling orders placed on your store, including timely delivery, accurate product descriptions, and correct pricing. GOB is a platform facilitator and does not guarantee order fulfilment on your behalf.

5.2 You must maintain a refund policy that is clearly stated on your store (via a custom page). In the absence of a stated policy, GOB's default position is that buyers are entitled to a refund for non-delivered or materially misrepresented products.

5.3 For Bank Transfer orders, you must confirm payment receipt in the GOB app within 48 hours. Failure to do so may result in the order being cancelled and the buyer refunded.

5.4 Pay on Delivery orders must be confirmed in the app at the time of delivery. You must collect the exact order amount in cash before marking an order as delivered.

6.1 Disputes between buyers and sellers must first be attempted to be resolved directly between the parties. If unresolved within 7 days, either party may escalate to GOB support at info@gob.ng.

6.2 GOB acts as a neutral facilitator in disputes and may, at its sole discretion, reverse transactions, withhold settlements or deduct amounts from your wallet to compensate a buyer in cases of confirmed fraud, non-delivery or gross misrepresentation.

6.3 GOB is not liable for buyer disputes, delivery failures, product quality issues or any losses arising from your use of the free store feature.

7.1 Custom domain connection is provided as a free feature. You are responsible for purchasing and renewing your domain with a third-party registrar. GOB does not register, renew or manage domain names on your behalf.

7.2 If your GOB store is suspended or your account is terminated, your custom domain will no longer resolve to your store. GOB is not responsible for any SEO or traffic impact from such changes.

8.1 GOB reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete any store that violates these Terms, the GOB General Terms & Conditions, or applicable Nigerian law, with or without prior notice in cases of serious violations.

8.2 You may deactivate your store at any time by setting its status to "Draft" in your store settings. You may permanently delete your store via the "Delete Store" option. Deletion is irreversible and removes all product listings, images, custom pages and store settings. Order records are retained for legal and financial compliance purposes.

8.3 If your GOB account is suspended, all associated stores will be suspended simultaneously. Store slugs associated with suspended or deleted accounts are not automatically released; requests to release a slug may be made to GOB support.

9.1 You retain ownership of all content you upload (product images, descriptions, logos, custom pages). By uploading content to your GOB store you grant GOB a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, cache and serve that content to visitors of your store.

9.2 GOB may use anonymised or aggregated store data (visit counts, category statistics, order volumes) for platform analytics and improvement purposes. No personally identifiable seller or buyer data is shared with third parties without consent except as required by law.

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
